Water Hygiene Technician

Location: Watford (within a 20-mile radius)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected provider of water hygiene compliance services for an experienced Water Hygiene Technician to join their growing team. As a Water Hygiene Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out a range of planned preventative maintenance and monitoring tasks to help clients remain compliant with Legionella control regulations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out temperature monitoring of hot and cold water systems
\n
• Showerhead cleaning, descaling, and disinfection
\n
• Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfection
\n
• Inspecting water systems, including cold water storage tanks and calorifiers
\n
• Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) inspections and servicing
\n
• Basic remedial plumbing works, including removing dead legs and small water system modifications
\n
• Collecting water samples for microbiological analysis
\n
• Inspecting domestic hot and cold water systems to identify potential compliance issues
\n
• Completing all work in line with company procedures and health & safety standards
\n
• Communicating effectively with clients and site personnel regarding work progress
\n
• Reporting any issues or additional remedial requirements promptly
\n
• Maintaining a professional approach while representing the business on client sites
\n
• Working closely with internal teams to identify further remedial opportunities where required
\n

• Previous experience within water hygiene or Legionella monitoring
\n
• Strong technical understanding of domestic hot and cold water systems
\n
• Good communication and customer service skills
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
\n
• Full UK driving licence
\n
