Start Monday is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business for a Multi-Skilled Service Engineer to join their friendly and experienced team.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys a varied role. You'll split your time between visiting customer sites across the South East & London and working from the company's workshop near Maidstone, carrying out repairs, servicing and refurbishments on a range of specialist equipment.

\n

The company supplies and maintains machinery for customers within the butchery, hospitality, meat processing and medical sectors, offering a diverse and interesting workload.

\nThe Role\n
\n

\n
• Service, repair and maintain specialist machinery at customer sites.
\n
• Carry out workshop-based repairs and refurbishments.
\n
• Diagnose and fault-find on both mechanical and electrical systems.
\n
• Deliver a professional and customer-focused service.
\n
• Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in 8).
\n

\nWhat We're Looking For\n
\n

Previous experience within an engineering environment is essential. An apprenticeship would be advantageous but is not essential.

\n

Mechanical experience should include:

\n

\n
• Fault finding and repairs
\n
• Replacing bearings and seals
\n
• Rebuilding and fitting gearboxes
\n

\n

Electrical experience should include:

\n

\n
• Fault finding and repairs
\n
• Reading electrical drawings
\n
• Safe isolation of electrical systems
\n
• Knowledge of single and three-phase power
\n

\n

Experience with welding would be advantageous but is not essential.

\n

You will also need:

\n

\n
• A full UK Driving Licence (ideally clean)
\n
• A positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
\n
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
\n

\nSalary & Benefits\n
\n

• £45,000 - £48,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
\n

• Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)

• On-call rota of 1 week in 8 with additional payments
