HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights

We are looking for a reliable, safety-focusedClass 1 Night Driverto join our team. In this role, youll be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods while delivering a high standard of service to our clients. The position may involve long-haul or regional routes, including occasional overnight stays depending on scheduling.

Salary:£40,800 per year

Shift pattern:4 on, 4 off 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle safely and professionally
\n
• Transport goods to and from designated locations on schedule
\n
• Carry out pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment checks
\n
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and inspection documentation
\n
• Load and unload freight when required
\n
• Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies
\n
• Communicate clearly with dispatch teams and customers
\n
• Ensure cargo is secured correctly and report any issues promptly
\n
• Perform minor maintenance checks and report vehicle defect
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Valid Class 1 Drivers Licence with a clean driving record
\n
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience (preferred, but new passes considered)
\n
• Ability to operate a range of trailer types
\n
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
\n
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
\n
• Physically able to lift and handle cargo when required
\n
