Operations Team Member

Hastings Freight is seeking a proactive, customer-focused Operations Team Member to coordinate freight deliveries and collections, support customers, and help maintain excellent service levels. Full training and support will be provided.

Coordinate freight deliveries and collections using internal systems.

Keep customers, depots and colleagues informed; resolve enquiries, complaints and service issues by phone and email.

Process bookings, network queries, PODs, exceptions and damage cases accurately.

Support service, response-time and accuracy targets, and contribute to process improvements.

At least two years customer service experience, including support by phone and email.

Strong written and verbal communication, organisation and attention to detail.

Confidence using computerised or web-based systems in a fast-paced environment.

A calm, flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Logistics, road haulage or pallet network experience is preferred but not essential.

Hours: 45 per week on a MondayFriday rota, plus one Saturday in five until 1pm
