Job: Mechanical Technician
\nJob Type: Full-time, permanent
\nLocation: Near Pickering YO18
\nHours: Mon-Fri - 37 hrs
\nThis hands-on role involves assembling, testing, and inspecting mechanical and hydraulic equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Assemble mechanical and hydraulic components from engineering drawings and work instructions. \n
- Build and test subassemblies and finished products. \n
- Manufacture and test hoses, pipework, and associated components. \n
- Carry out functional and pressure testing where required. \n
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately. \n
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment. \n
- Support production schedules and project deadlines. \n
Skills & Experience
\nEssential:
\n- \n
- Experience in mechanical assembly or a similar hands-on engineering role. \n
- Competent using hand and power tools. \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. \n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. \n
- Good communication and teamwork skills. \n
- Full UK license and own transport due to location of site. \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience. \n
- Automotive, plant, maintenance, or mechanical fitting background. \n
- Experience working with hydraulic systems. \n
