Contract EHS Advisor - Europe (Traveling Role) Job Type: Contract / Interim Assignment Location: Europe Wide (Extensive Travel Required) Salary: CompetitiveWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Contract EHS Advisor to support the delivery of Environment, Health & Safety programmes across multiple project and operational sites throughout Europe. This role is ideal for a proactive EHS professional who thrives in diverse cultural and regulatory environments, maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance. Day-to-day of the role: Site Auditing and Assurance: Conduct planned EHS audits across project sites throughout Europe. Assess compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable local legislation. Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement and provide practical recommendations. Produce high-quality audit reports with clear corrective and preventive actions. Support the development and implementation of site improvement plans. Incident Investigation: Lead and support investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions. Conduct root cause analysis using recognised methodologies. Prepare detailed investigation reports and present findings to management teams. Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions. Share lessons learned across the business to prevent recurrence. Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, site managers, project teams, and contractors. Provide EHS advice and guidance to operational teams and management. Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership teams on EHS matters. EHS Leadership and Support: Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across all locations. Deliver EHS briefings, workshops, and awareness sessions. Monitor performance against EHS objectives and key performance indicators.Required Skills & Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum. Relevant EHS qualification or equivalent professional certification. Demonstrable experience in health and safety roles within construction or data centre environments. Strong experience conducting site audits and compliance assessments. Excellent understanding of EHS legislation and international standards. Full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Europe.Desirable Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent higher-level qualification. ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification. Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent). Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH, GradIOSH, or CMIOSH). Additional European language skills.Benefits: Competitive remuneration package.
