\n\nHerts Resourcing Group is proud to be recruiting on behalf of HRC, a leading Further Education College, for an experienced and motivated Apprenticeship Assessor/Trainer (Electrical) to join their growing Apprenticeships Team.
\n\nLocation: Broxbourne Campus & travel to surrounding areas in Hertfordshire and North London
\n\nRate: £30.26 per hour
\n\nWeekly Working Pattern: Mon to Fri, 8.45am to 5pm with breaks (total hours 34 per week)
\n\nStart Date: 31st August 2026
\n\nContract Duration: Ongoing

\n\nAbout the Role
\nThis is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting apprentices and employers through the full apprenticeship journey — from enrolment through to successful End Point Assessment — helping learners to achieve outstanding outcomes and progress in their careers.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nAs an Apprenticeship Assessor/Trainer, you will:
\n- \n
- Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing high-quality training, assessment and support \n
- Act as a key point of contact for employers, supporting attendance, progress and performance \n
- Deliver practical assessments in the workplace \n
- Support apprentices with Maths & English (Functional Skills) where required \n
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of learner progress on the e-portfolio system (Smart Assessor) \n
- Prepare apprentices for successful End Point Assessment \n
- Complete learner reviews and set SMART targets to support timely achievement \n
- Maintain compliance with Awarding Body, ESFA and Ofsted requirements \n
- Support learner safeguarding, health & safety, equality & diversity and British Values \n
- Contribute to employer engagement and promotional activities \n
About You
\nWe are looking for a professional, organised and learner-focused individual with:
\nEssential:
\n- \n
- Occupational experience within Electrical (or relevant specialism) \n
- NVQ Level 3 (or above) in the relevant subject area (or willingness to work towards) \n
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or Level 2 equivalent \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- IT literacy and experience using e-portfolio systems \n
- Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Assessor qualification (TAQA) \n
- Teaching qualification \n
- Health & Safety qualification \n
- Experience working within FE or apprenticeships \n
- Experience with Awarding Bodies and End Point Assessment Organisations \n
- Internal Verifier (IQA) qualification \n

- In person ID and Proof of Address verification appointment at Ware/Broxbourne Campus (or additional fee to verify digitally) \n
- Enhanced DBS application - administrated by HRG but at a cost of £65.20 (unless you already hold an enhanced DBS on the update service) \n
- 2 years of professional/character references taken and verified \n
- Several Online Training Modules sent out to you as stipulated by HRC \n
