Deputy Head of Faculty – Construction Trades & HeritageSalary: £42,444 - £44,962 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)Contract: Permanent | Full Time (37 hours per week)Teaching Commitment: Up to 7.5 hours per weekClosing Date: 10th August 2026Lead the Future of Construction EducationAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced education professional to join a leading further education provider as Deputy Head of Faculty for Construction Trades & Heritage.Working alongside the Head of Faculty, you will help lead the faculty, drive high standards of teaching and learning, support curriculum development and inspire a team of lecturers, technicians and skills coaches. With a reduced teaching commitment, you'll combine hands-on teaching with strategic leadership to improve learner outcomes and strengthen employer engagement.Key Responsibilities\n

- Support the strategic and operational leadership of the faculty. \n
- Lead, motivate and develop teaching and support staff. \n
- Deliver up to 7.5 hours of teaching per week. \n
- Drive improvements in teaching quality, learner achievement and curriculum delivery. \n
- Support quality assurance, self-assessment and inspection readiness. \n
- Build strong relationships with employers and industry partners. \n
- Assist with resource planning, budgets and curriculum development. \n
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion and student wellbeing. \n

- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent). \n
- Degree, professional qualification or significant vocational experience in Construction Trades, Heritage or a related subject. \n
- Experience teaching within Further Education. \n
- Previous leadership or management experience. \n
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, quality assurance and learner achievement. \n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills. \n
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. \n
- \n
- Leadership or management qualification. \n
- Apprenticeship delivery experience. \n
- Knowledge of FE funding and quality frameworks. \n
- Experience managing budgets and working with employers. \n
- \n
