Key Responsibilities\n- \n

End-to-End R&D: Design, develop, and refine new and existing products from concept, prototyping, and FMEA through to full production tooling.

Hands-on Prototype Testing: Build, evaluate, and test prototypes to maximize product performance, safety, aesthetic finish, and cost-efficiency.
\n - \n
Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with plastics toolrooms, foundry engineering, pattern shops, and quality teams to ensure seamless manufacturing.

Technical Mentorship: Provide drawings, guidance, and technical instruction to junior engineers and draftspersons across the business.

Design Optimization: Conduct competitor analysis and ensure all designs comply with ISO quality standards and low-inventory manufacturing strategies.

Proven background in Design Engineering within a manufacturing environment (plastics moulding, tooling, or casting experience is a huge plus).

Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software and executing FMEA / feasibility studies.
\n - \n
A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and an interest in mentoring others.
\n - \n
A proactive problem-solver who thrives on seeing their designs physically built on the shop floor.
