\nAt our client, transport safety and compliance sit at the heart of everything they do. Their Transport Development Team plays a vital role in raising standards, strengthening road safety, and shaping positive driver and management behaviours across the business.
\nTheyre now looking for a Transport Development Auditor on a 6-month fixed term contract based in South London to join the team and act as a key compliance checkpoint across all sites. This role offers a real opportunity to influence standards, support operational excellence and help shape the future of transport development across our Group.
\nWhat you'll be doing:transport auditor
\nYoull work closely with sites and leadership teams to assess, support and continuously improve transport compliance and performance. Your responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out routine transport audits across all sites, including 28-day and quarterly reviews \n
- Preparing for audits remotely using company-approved systems, followed by on-site audits as required \n
- Ensuring Earned Recognition standards (Driver and Vehicle) are met prior to physical site visits \n
- Collating audit findings and delivering clear, structured feedback to stakeholders \n
- Presenting audit outcomes and recommendations to site teams and Area-level leadership \n
- Creating and maintaining audit records in line with DVSA and ISO standards \n
- Identifying training and development needs for site transport teams \n
- Supporting succession planning by highlighting future talent for transport roles \n
- Ensuring audits are delivered consistently, fairly and within agreed timeframes \n
- Contributing to wider Transport Development initiatives and projects \n
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes and industry best practice through continuous professional development \n
What you'll bring to the role:
\n- \n
- DVSA audit experience and a full compliance background \n
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal \n
- Confident in using Microsoft Office packages \n
- Professional Competency in Transport Management (CPC) with relevant experience is desirable \n
- Experience managing processes in a fast-paced operational environment \n
- Strong understanding of Operator License obligations is desirable \n
- Proven experience in using TACHO master is desirable \n
- Proven ability to analyse data, collate information and influence stakeholders \n
- Experience creating efficient systems and ways of working \n
- Confident creating and delivering content across a range of transport topics \n
- Ability to influence through data and insight to all levels across the organisation \n
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong cross-referencing skills \n
- Experience supporting and driving change management \n
