We are supporting a rapidly growing MedTech start-up in the recruitment of a Support Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for advanced electro-mechanical equipment deployed in hospital environments across the UK.
\nThis position requires a strong blend of mechanical, electrical, and software understanding, combined with excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with senior clinical and technical stakeholders.
\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

- Provide on-site and remote technical support for electro-mechanical medical equipment \n
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults spanning mechanical, electrical, and software systems \n
- Install, commission, and configure equipment at customer sites \n
- Act as a trusted technical liaison with hospital staff, clinicians, and senior stakeholders \n
- Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades \n
- Analyse system performance and identify root causes of issues \n
- Escalate complex issues internally and collaborate with engineering and product teams \n
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation \n
- Deliver basic user training and technical guidance to end users \n
- Ensure all work complies with relevant healthcare regulations and safety standards \n
\nSkills & Experience Required\n

- Proven experience supporting electro-mechanical equipment or systems \n
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, and software-driven devices \n
- Experience diagnosing faults across integrated hardware/software systems \n
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation \n
- Previous experience in a field service or customer-facing engineering role \n
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills \n
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior customers \n
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail \n
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively \n

- Familiarity with embedded systems or software diagnostics \n
