The Role
\n A leading innovator in cooling technology is seeking an experienced Contract Controls Design Engineer for an on-site project in Maldon. Operating within an Agile R&D environment, you will design control algorithms, build high-fidelity simulations, and integrate hardware to optimise ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Algorithm Design: Develop and implement PID and advanced control strategies for precise temperature regulation.
\n
• Modeling & Simulation: Build, calibrate, and validate system models using MATLAB/Simulink to minimize physical prototyping.
\n
• System Integration: Connect control software with sensors, actuators, and refrigeration hardware.
\n
• Data Optimisation: Analyse performance data to improve system robustness, sustainability, and efficiency.
\n
• Compliance & Docs: Maintain technical specs and control logic descriptions compliant with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Degree in Control Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
\n
• Proven contract experience in control systems design and system dynamics.
\n
• Advanced proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent modeling tools.
\n
• Experience with embedded or industrial control software integration.
\n
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Maldon, UK.
\n
