Job Description
Are you an experienced Industrial Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a technically varied role within a complex process plant?
\nWe are recruiting an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join the established engineering team at an operational energy and industrial processing facility in Stoke-on-Trent.
\nThis is a hands-on electrical maintenance role where you will help ensure that critical plant, machinery and electrical equipment continues to operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
\nYou will work across planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, electrical fault finding, defect rectification and plant improvement projects. The site offers a varied engineering environment with excellent opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge and develop your industrial electrical experience.
The Role\nAs Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you will:

Complete planned preventative maintenance using computerised maintenance job cards
\n - \n
Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns and plant faults
\n - \n
Diagnose and rectify electrical defects across plant and process equipment
\n - \n
Fault-find within control panels, starters and control systems
\n - \n
Test, repair and wire industrial motors operating at 110V, 240V and 415V
\n - \n
Install and replace cabling using tray, conduit and trunking systems
\n - \n
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
\n - \n
Carry out electrical isolations in line with site procedures
\n - \n
Support plant modifications and continuous improvement projects
\n - \n
Work closely with operations teams to identify and resolve equipment issues
\n - \n
Assist contractors during planned outages and major maintenance activity
\n - \n
Work safely within Permit to Work, risk assessment and plant operating procedures
\n - \n
Undertake work at height and within confined spaces when required
\n - \n
Help maintain appropriate stock levels of electrical spares and consumables
\n
The successful candidate will support the continued availability and performance of a complex incineration and process plant through both proactive and reactive maintenance.
About You\nWe are looking for an electrically qualified maintenance professional with experience gained in an industrial, manufacturing or process environment.
\nYou should have:

A recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualification
\n - \n
Previous experience in an industrial electrical maintenance role
\n - \n
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
\n - \n
Experience working with three-phase motors, control panels, starters and controls
\n - \n
The ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
\n - \n
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and defect resolution
\n - \n
The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
\n - \n
A strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation and Permit to Work systems
\n - \n
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operations and maintenance teams
\n
Location
\nThe position is based in Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 and could be suitable for candidates commuting from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stone, Stafford, Crewe, Congleton, Leek, Uttoxeter, Market Drayton or surrounding areas.
