The Opportunity\nYou'll play a vital role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably. Working alongside both the Engineering and Operations teams, you'll help minimise downtime, improve plant performance and contribute to ongoing engineering projects.
\nNo two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, technical challenges and making a real impact.
Key Responsibilities\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production equipment.
\nRespond to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
\nDiagnose and repair mechanical faults.
\nReplace and maintain mechanical components.
\nRecord maintenance activities using internal systems.
\nCoordinate external engineering contractors when required.
\nSupport continuous improvement and engineering projects.
\nMaintain spare parts and engineering records.
\nWork closely with production teams to maximise operational efficiency.
\nEnsure all work complies with Health & Safety and permit-to-work procedures.
\nParticipate in an on-call rota and provide engineering support when required.
\nAttend daily operations meetings and contribute to performance improvements.
What We're Looking For\nWe're looking for someone who is practical, solutions-focused and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
\nYou'll ideally have:
\nLevel 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
\nAt least 2 years' experience within an engineering or maintenance role.
\nStrong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
\nExperience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
\nGood organisational and time management skills.
\nA positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.
\nThe ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\nCompetent Microsoft Office skills.
\nKnowledge of TS16949, ISO 14001 and IOSH/NEBOSH would be advantageous.

Working Environment\nThe role includes working within a manufacturing facility and requires compliance with PPE, food safety and Health & Safety standards. You'll also participate in an on-call rota, and the position may involve working at height or within confined spaces following appropriate training and safe systems of work.
