Electrical Fitter

\nAs an Electrical Fitter you will work as part of a collaborative team to deliver high-quality assemblies, equipment, and solutions that meet our customers exacting standards. You will follow engineering specifications, adhere to health and safety requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

\nTechnical Duties & Responsibilities
\nAs an Electrical Fitter I, you will carry out a range of electrical assembly and installation tasks, working from drawings and instructions, and under supervision where required.
\nElectrical Assembly & Installation
\nCut, drill, deburr and prepare electrical containment (such as trunking, tray and conduit)
\nInstall electrical containment systems in line with drawings
\nCarry out basic mechanical preparation to support electrical installation
\nInstall electrical components and assemblies under supervision
\nWiring & Termination
\nAssist with panel wiring under supervision, including:
\no Control circuits
\no Low and high voltage circuits
\no Motors, plugs and sockets
\nPrepare and terminate cables, including multicore and screened cables
\nCarry out crimping and soldering tasks using approved tools and methods
\nDress cables neatly and fit identification labels correctly
\nSupport earthing and bonding activities under supervision
\nDrawings, Quality & Documentation
\nWork from electrical drawings and wiring diagrams (with support where required)
\nUnderstand common electrical symbols
\nComplete job documentation accurately using company systems
\nFollow approved engineering change and quality processes
\nMaintenance & Support
\nAssist with electrical fault finding and basic maintenance activities
\nSupport electrical checks during machine build and handover
\nMaintain a clean, safe and organised working area in line with 5S standards
\nLearning & Development
\nDevelop knowledge of the equipment and systems through hands-on experience and training
\nLearn different product lines over time as skills develop
\nTake part in training, mentoring and continuous improvement activities
\nSupport new starters and apprentices when appropriate
\nSkills, Knowledge & Experience
\nAbility to follow engineering drawings and technical documentation
\nExperience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality
\nA proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn
\nGood communication skills and a team-focused mindset
\nFull training will be provided on equipment and systems. Previous experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing environments is beneficial, but product-specific knowledge is not essential.
