Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Night Driver to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves a dedicated nightly trunk run to Birmingham, providing consistent work with a fixed start time of 5:00 PM.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods while ensuring compliance with all road transport regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete a nightly trunk run to Birmingham.
\n
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
\n
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on schedule.
\n
• Comply with drivers hours regulations, tachograph rules, and company policies.
\n
• Maintain a professional attitude and represent the company positively at all times.
\n
• Keep accurate records and complete all required paperwork.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
\n
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
\n
• Minimum of 1 year's experience driving 44-tonne articulated lorries.
\n
• Good knowledge of UK road transport legislation and drivers hours regulations.
\n
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
\n
• Ability to work independently during night shifts.
