Location: South London
Salary:Up to £18.50 per hour (Room-Based Deputy Manager)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week over 5 days
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Baby Room Leader or Room-Based Deputy Manager to join a thriving, well-established nursery in South London.
\nThis role would suit a passionate Early Years professional who enjoys working with babies, leading by example, and creating a nurturing environment where children can flourish during the most important stage of their development.
The Role\nYou'll be responsible for leading the Baby Room team, ensuring exceptional standards of care and education are delivered every day while supporting and mentoring colleagues.
\nFor candidates with additional leadership experience, there is also an opportunity to join as a Room-Based Deputy Manager, combining hands-on practice within the Baby Room with wider leadership responsibilities across the nursery.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Lead the daily operation of the Baby Room \n
- Deliver outstanding care and learning experiences for children aged 02 years \n
- Support, mentor and inspire fellow practitioners \n
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers \n
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding and nursery policies \n
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and planning \n
- Promote a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment \n

- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) \n
- Previous experience working within a Baby Room \n
- Experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner preferred \n
- Deputy Manager experience welcomed for applicants seeking the higher-level role \n
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements \n
- Excellent communication and leadership skills \n
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional childcare \n
