HGV CLASS 2 ADR DRIVER

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 ADR Tramper Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, consistent work, and long-term development for both experienced and newly qualified drivers.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts

 • Day shifts – Monday to Friday
\n  • Circa 05:00 start times

Rates of Pay: £17.00 per hour plus tax free night out payments

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
\n  • Delivering to RDCs and customer sites
\n  • Completing loading and unloading duties safely and accurately
\n  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
\n  • Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
\n  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
\n  • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers, and site staff
\n  • Working alongside a Driver's Mate to complete multi-drop deliveries where required

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category C Licence
\n  • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n  • European ADR qualification
\n  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
\n  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
\n  • Good communication and customer service skills
\n  • Understanding of road safety and compliance regulations

Desirable Experience

 • Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
\n  • Experience handling large or bulky goods
\n  • Good customer interaction and service skills

Training Provided

 • Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
