School Caretaker

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join a Facilities Management team working within a school in Borehamwood. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed environment for staff, students, and visitors.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
\n
• ASAP - 31/08/26
\n
• 8 hours per day between 7:00 - 18:00
\n
• Weekly pay
\n
• £13.76 per hour
\n

Key Responsibilities

As a School Caretaker, you will:

\n
• Provide essential caretaker support to ensure smooth day-to-day school operations
\n
• Carry out regular building compliance checks to maintain health and safety standards
\n
• Respond promptly and professionally to the needs of building users, including staff, students, and visitors
\n
• Maintain a proactive, hands-on approach to site maintenance and support tasks
\n
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive facilities management team
\n
• Ensure the school environment remains safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times
\n

Requirements

\n
• Enhanced DBS certificate (required)
\n
• Previous caretaking, facilities, or site maintenance experience preferred
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
\n
• A proactive, reliable, and flexible attitude
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n
