Overview

We are seeking a professional Class 2 (HGV 2) Driver to join our clients team in Bolton on a temporary to permanent basis. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in commercial driving, with a focus on delivery services. The position involves operating flatbed lorries and ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics team.

Duties

\n
• Safely operate Class 2 Gully wagons with full training provided
\n
• CSCS card is preffered but not required
\n
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements
\n
• Will be required to use a digital platform tablet to record information at each gully location
\n
• Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during driving and delivery tasks
\n
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the dispatch team
\n
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management for resolution.
\n

Skills

\n
• 2 years Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed lorries or similar vehicles
\n
• Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence with no restrictions
\n
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
\n
• Excellent organisational skills
\n
• Ability to handle physical tasks such
\n
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
\n
• Prior experience with delivery routes in the Bolton area is advantageous but not essential
\n
