Estimator (Electrical/ M&E)Location: Dartford Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pmDue to growth, my client, a leading M&E Building Services provider are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join their team. The Electrical Estimator will play a crucial role in analysing project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates. This position requires the Estimator to have a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.\n
Duties\n

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine the scope of work.
\n
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and overheads.
\n
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and constraints.
\n
• Conduct market research to gather current pricing information for materials and services.
\n
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within projects that may affect costs.
\n
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, including changes and revisions.
\n
• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to clients.
\n
• Assist in the development of cost control measures to ensure project budgets are adhered to.
\n

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate estimation.

• Proficient in cost control methodologies and practices.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
\n
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
\n
• A background in construction or engineering is advantageous but not essential.
\n

Requirements:\n

• Electrically qualified

• Minimum 5 years experience in Surveying
\n
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems
\n
