\nJob Title: Area Sales Manager Timber and Construction Products
\nIndustry Sector: Sawn timber, carcassing timber, construction timber, pallet wood and packaging material timber, Canadian lumbar, machined whitewoods, saw milling, decking and fencing timber
\nArea to be covered: South East, Anglia and Southern part of East Midlands
\nBasic Salary: £50,000-£60,000
\nBenefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car + full benefits package
\nThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Timber and Construction Products will involve:
\nField sales position, selling a manufactured range of timber products
\nSelling into builders merchants, timber merchants and buying groups
\nBuilding relationships and managing existing portfolio of clients
\nDealing with order values from £12k - £250k
\nTaking over an established region with over 200 active accounts
\nFour and a half days on the road visiting customers, half a day working from home/ admin
\nWorking to a 6-12 week journey plan depending on the value of accounts
\nResponsible for 100,000m3 cubic meters of materials
\nDue to size of territory, there will be some away night covering the territory as well as site and customer visits
\nThe ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Timber and Construction Products experience with:
\nMust have proven field sales track record, selling timber (or related) building materials to builders merchants, timber merchants or buying groups
\nMust have sold to national, regional and independent merchants, more importantly dealing with the buying groups and buying group members
\nDealing with order values up to £250k
\nInterpersonal skills
\nAutonomous
\nGreat relationship builder/ account development skills
\n
