Port Shunter Driver Class 1

Location: Southampton Docks
Pay: From £14.00 per hour (Days) | £15.50 per hour (Nights)
Shifts: Days, Nights & Weekends Available
Contract: Ongoing Temporary Work

TLP Recruitment Southampton are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Port Shunter Drivers to support a busy operation within Southampton Docks.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers with container and dock experience looking for regular work within one of the UK's busiest ports. If you're confident working in a fast-paced environment where safety, communication and awareness are essential, we'd like to hear from you.

• Shunting trailers safely between quay, loading bays and yard locations
\n
• Positioning units for loading and unloading operations
\n
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
\n
• Working closely with transport, yard and port operations teams
\n
• Complying with all port regulations and site safety procedures
\n
• Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment at all times
\n

\n
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
\n
• Valid DP World Card (Desirable)
\n
• Minimum 6 months' container driving experience
\n
• Previous port shunting or dockyard experience
\n
• Good awareness of health and safety within busy yard environments
\n
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work
\n

• £14.00 per hour - Days

• £15.50 per hour - Nights
\n
• Day, night and weekend shifts available
\n
• Weekly pay
