Fire Alarm Installation & Commissioning Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced mobile fire alarm engineer who is ambitious and driven to join our clients award winning and growing company. This is a long term career opportunity with potential progression within the company.

Responsibilities

\n
• Your role will be to complete the installation and modification of Fire Detection Systems, to British Standards, efficiently, safely and conscientiously, exceeding all customer expectations.
\n
• Installing various fire alarm systems in both industrial and commercial premises including within the NHS
\n
• Complete small and larger installations as part of a team or on your own.
\n
• To ensure that the client is satisfied in all aspects of the installation prior to leaving site
\n
• Project a high level of quality customer services at all times, offering a personal approach, and maintaining/developing good relations with clients and colleagues.
\n
• Good Writing Skills
\n
• Taking an active part in the on-call system.
\n

Knowledge/Requirement

\n
• A minimum of 3 years installation expertise working with a variety of Fire Alarm Systems including addressable and conventional systems such as Apollo, Notifier, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Apex, Gent, Vesda etc
\n
• Experience in working on projects is essential
\n
• Understanding of BS5839-1 and the latest updates on the regulation is Essential
\n
• Understanding of the Electricity at work regulations 1989 and the current BS7671 is advantageous
\n
• Experience and Knowledge on AOV and Aspiration systems is preferred
\n
• Experience and Knowledge on suppression systems is preferred
\n
• Experience and Knowledge of Voice alarms/PAVA systems is preferred
\n
• Experience and Knowledge of Disabled refuge alarms is preferred
\n
• FULL, clean UK driving licence
\n
• Up to date CSCS/ECS card
\n
• Proven experience with programming, cause and effect is essential.
\n
