Hybrid, UK - widely remote. with travel to Bath/London once per month Part-Time (3 Days Per Week)

L&C Mortgages is looking for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to provide strategic legal support across a dynamic, growing business. Reporting to the General Counsel/CPO, you'll play a key role in supporting commercial growth, managing legal risk, and advising senior leaders on high-profile transactions and business initiatives.

What you'll be doing

\n

As a trusted legal adviser, you'll work across a broad range of commercial and corporate matters, including:

  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on complex commercial contracts
  • \n
  • Supporting mergers, acquisitions, investments and strategic partnerships
  • \n
  • Leading legal due diligence and managing transaction risk
  • \n
  • Advising senior leadership on business strategy and governance
  • \n
  • Supporting new products, commercial initiatives and transformation projects
  • \n
  • Managing legal and regulatory risk within a fast-paced business environment
  • \n
  • Working with external legal advisers and key stakeholders across the organisation
  • \n

About You

\n

You'll be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with significant post-qualification experience and a strong background in:

? Commercial contracts
\n ? M&A and corporate transactions
\n ? Advising executive teams and senior stakeholders
\n ? UK commercial law and risk management
\n ? Delivering pragmatic, commercially-focused legal solutions

\n FCA Certification Regime & Conduct Rules
\n L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 6 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times. (See below). Any confirmed breaches of the Conduct Rules will be reported to the FCA annually. Should you apply for a Certified role in another financial services firm then L&C may be required to disclose this information in a Regulatory Reference request.
