\nWe're recruiting for a temporary Team Leader to join a warm, therapeutic children's home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity to work within a trauma-informed service where you'll have the chance to make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable young people.
\nAbout the Home
\nThis service is a welcoming residential home caring for up to four children and young people. The home currently supports three young people, aged 1516 years (two females and one male), providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can build confidence, develop life skills, and work towards positive futures.
\nThe Role
\nAs Team Leader, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home while leading by example and maintaining high standards of care.
\nYour responsibilities will include:

- Leading shifts and supporting the staff team to deliver outstanding care. \n
- Providing therapeutic, trauma-informed support to children and young people with EBD. \n
- Building positive, trusting relationships with young people. \n
- Supporting behaviour management using positive and restorative approaches. \n
- Completing care planning, incident reports, and other administrative duties. \n
- Ensuring safeguarding and Ofsted standards are consistently met. \n
- Supporting, mentoring, and supervising Residential Support Workers. \n
- Working collaboratively with families, social workers, schools, and other professionals. \n
- Promoting independence, resilience, and positive outcomes for young people. \n
The role includes approximately 80% shift work and 20% dedicated administration time, with a rota that includes evenings and weekends.
\nAbout You
\nWe're looking for someone who has:
\n- \n
- Experience as a Team Leader or Senior Residential Support Worker within a children's residential home. \n
- A strong understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed care. \n
- Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). \n
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) as a minimum. \n
- Team Teach training (preferred). \n
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. \n
- A calm, resilient, and positive approach to supporting young people with complex needs. \n
