HGV Class 1 Driver – Cumbernauld – Trunk Driver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Cumbernauld.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
\n
• Day shifts – start times from 10:00
\n

Pay Rate:

• £16.50 per hour
\n

Day-to-Day Duties:

\n
• Depot-to-depot trunking
\n
• Trailer swaps and deliveries to shops and depots
\n
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
\n
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
\n
• Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules
\n
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and on time
\n

Essential Skills:

\n
• Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence
\n
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
\n
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Good spoken and written English
\n
• A professional and reliable approach to work
\n
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
\n

Desirable Experience:

\n
• Previous commercial driving experience
\n

Training Provided:

\n
• Driver assessment required prior to start
\n
• Full industry-related training provided with ongoing support throughout your assignment
\n
