Job Description
THE ROLE
\nWe are currently seeking a CIVIL & DRAINAGE ENGINEER to join our client based in Hull.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm of consulting engineers who offer the right candidates interesting projects to work on and good prospects for promotion.
\nYou will help to design, develop and deliver solutions in civil engineering, drainage, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, external works and also for paving making sure that your work ensures compliance with the relevant industry regulations and current environmental standards.
\nProjects are varied and will include work for schools and colleges, offices, residential, industrial, petrochemical and energy.
\nTHE CLIENT
\nOur client is a successful, growing firm of consulting engineers with a number of UK offices.
\nTHE CANDIDATE
\nYou will need to have experience of the following:-
\nYou must have a BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and ideally have an MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be useful although not essential.
\nYou should have around three years experience or more with a firm of civil / structural consulting engineers.
\nYou are likely to either be working towards becoming chartered or be keen to work towards chartership.
\nYou should have experience in designing and detailing of drainage systems and external works.
\nExperience of producing technical documentation to include Flood Risk Assessments and for Drainage Impact Assessments.
\nYou need experience of doing on-site assessments as required.
\nExperience of report writing to support planning applications and project delivery.
\nYou should have used Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk InfoDrainage (MicroDrainage) and ideally you will also be familiar with Site3D.
\nYou will report to a Senior or Principal Engineer.
\nYou must have worked in the UK for another firm of consulting engineers and have excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations.
\nA full UK driving licence is required along with your own vehicle to enable you to attend meetings and get to sites, some of which may be fairly remote.
