Lettings Assistant
Job Description
Are you practical, dependable and committed to providing excellent service? Oxford High School is looking for a Lettings Assistant to help deliver the safe and successful use of its facilities outside normal school hours.
\nWorking a 12-hour shift every Sunday, all year round, you will take responsibility for welcoming hirers, supporting bookings and ensuring the premises are reset and securely closed at the end of each hire period.
\nThis is a varied, hands-on role combining customer service, site security and facilities support. You will meet and greet hirers, carry out site inductions, respond to enquiries through the SchoolHire system and act as a helpful point of contact during events. You will also patrol and secure the site, check facilities and equipment, undertake minor repairs and complete cleaning, porterage and room-setting tasks when required.
\nSafety and presentation will be central to your work. You will help ensure hirers follow agreed procedures and risk assessments, respond appropriately to emergencies and make sure all spaces are returned to a safe, clean and sanitary condition. You will take pride in maintaining a welcoming environment across the school and build positive relationships with hirers, colleagues, contractors and other visitors.
\nYou will be reliable, honest and approachable, with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be physically fit, comfortable using online systems and willing to learn new skills.
\nExperience in premises management, security or customer-facing work would be helpful but is not essential. You must hold a current First Aid at Work qualification or be willing to undertake training, and bring a positive, flexible and professional approach to the role.
