Our client close to Heathrow is looking for a Project Cargo Manager to join their team.\n
\nJob DescriptionTaskManage all day to day Project Management for operationsIdentify and engage new business targets in the Project Cargo industryMaintain ownership of all Project Cargo enquiries for the defined regionSupport overseas requests in a timely mannerExecute and coordinate RFQs with customers and service providerSupervise load and discharge operationSupervise documentationEnsure that all shipments are being properly tracked in our systemsDevelop the regional infrastructure for Project Cargo including but not limited to: port terminal and equipment accessibilityAssist in creating a Project Cargo Toolkits including pricing methodology for repetitive services like surveys, port handling, customs formalities etc.Involved in defining operational procedures and customer KPIsContinuously explore commercial and operational improvement opportunitiesInitiate and sustain service provider relationships in the regionDrive / develop the Air Charter product / awarenessSource, initiate and attend regular meetings with local vendorsEngage GEO Leadership in the defined Region for continued supportReport progress to the GEO Leader and involved DMs on quote status, revenue accrued and business developmentAttend workshops, conferences and group meetings as requiredTravel domestically and within Europe as requiredTrain staff on Project Cargo fundamentals and best practice. Adapt to the latest trends in safe cargo handling and international tradeTrain, counsel and mentor branch staff, especially the Branch Project Cargo Coordinator on Project Cargo proceduresAdhere to all Health and Safety procedures(Any other specific regional task to be added)\n

\nQualificationsPrevious Project Cargo related experienceExperience of handling over-dimensional loads via land, barge, rail, air and ocean modes of transport or storageEstablish network within the Air Charter industryExtensive knowledge of Air Charter contractsEstablished network of Project Cargo industry contactsDiplomacy and commercial awarenessGeographic and political understanding of the regionKnowledge of operational process standards and procedures within the project cargo industryKnowledge of permits, import/export regulations, applications and procedures including surveys and any other governmental regulations applicable for the Project Cargo industry\n
\nQualitiesInnovative and constantly seeking improvement on current processesExcellent oral and written communication skills (English)Organized and detail-orientedStrong problem solving and analytical skillsetPersuasive, ambitious, self-motivated and result orientedSense of urgency, integrity and formalityPositive attitude, integrity and ongoing commitmentStrong customer service skills and ability to build rapport\n
