The Company

A long-established manufacturer and subcontractor delivering high-security solutions for the UK construction sector. They design and install specialist products including ballistic and blast-resistant doors, walls, windows and louvres for government, healthcare and critical-infrastructure projects.

With continued growth in the estimating department, they are now recruiting an Estimator to support tendering activity across a diverse and technically interesting workload.

The Role: Estimator

You will support the estimating team with tender reviews, pricing and cost analysis across a wide range of security-focused projects. This role suits someone with early estimating experience who wants to progress within a specialist manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing schedules
\n
• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications
\n
• Calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs
\n
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
\n
• Maintain organised records of estimates and submissions
\n
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Project Management and Production teams
\n

Required Skills & Experience

\n
• Experience in an Estimator role, with all construction backgrounds considered
\n
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
\n
• Confident using Excel and estimation software, with Bluebeam or PlanSwift beneficial
\n
• Knowledge of AutoCAD beneficial
\n
• Organised, proactive and keen to develop within a growing department
\n
