A well-established and highly respected manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join its experienced engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking a stable, days-based role within a modern production environment that values reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

\nThe Role\n
\n

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment through planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support. You will work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvements across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
\n
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing effective fault finding.
\n
• Repairing and maintaining manufacturing machinery and site equipment.
\n
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
\n
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
\n
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
\n
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
\n

\nThe Candidate\n
\n

The successful candidate will ideally have:

\n

\n
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
\n
• A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
\n
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
\n
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
\n
