HGV Class 2 Driver - West Lothian

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Lothian.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering consistent backshift hours, competitive rates of pay and ongoing work with a reputable company.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £15.25 - £16.25 per hour
\n

Shift Pattern:

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will work:

\n
• Sunday to Thursday
\n
• Start times between 14:00 and 22:00
\n

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver are:

\n
• Delivering and collecting linen and laundry products from customer locations
\n
• Loading and unloading cages, bags and linen stock
\n
• Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle checks
\n
• Ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time
\n
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
\n
• Adhering to all transport legislation and company procedures
\n

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

\n
• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
\n
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Good communication and customer service skills
\n
• Reliable and punctual approach to work
\n
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
\n
• Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations
\n
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
\n
• Experience within laundry, linen or hospitality distribution environments is advantageous
\n

Training:

• Ongoing support and training provided
\n
