Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a business investing heavily in its engineering function?
\nWe're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated operation, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and continuous improvement activities across a wide range of automated equipment.
\nReporting into the Engineering Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across a busy automated operation.
\nYour responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) \n
- Reactive electrical and mechanical fault finding \n
- Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and test equipment \n
- Working on motors, drives, sensors and control systems \n
- PLC fault finding and basic interrogation \n
- Supporting continuous improvement projects \n
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records \n
- Working safely in line with company procedures and engineering standards \n
Following an initial training period on days (approximately 4-8 weeks), you'll move onto a4 on 4 off shift pattern.
\nAbout You\n
We're keen to speak with electrically or mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers from manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, automation, warehousing or industrial environments.
\nYou'll ideally have experience with:
\n- \n
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding \n
- Planned and reactive maintenance \n
- Conveyors and automated machinery \n
- Three-phase motors and drives \n
- Inverters and sensors \n
- Pneumatics and hydraulics \n
- PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar advantageous) \n
- Reading electrical and mechanical drawings \n
Qualifications\n
Ideally you'll hold one of the following:
\n- \n
- NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance \n
- City & Guilds \n
- Time-served Apprenticeship \n
- HNC/HND (desirable) \n
Equivalent electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications will also be considered.
