We are recruitingHGV Class 2 Refuse Driver for ongoing, full-time work supporting waste and recycling collection services across Bristol.

• Monday to Friday

• 6:00am 2:30pm shifts (39 hours per week)
\n
• £17.27 per hour
\n
• Overtime after 39 hours. Lots of overtime available
\n

This is a physically active role combining HGV driving with loading duties. You'll be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle while working as part of a team to collect, transport and unload waste and recycling materials across the Bristol area.\n
The Role
\n

\n
• Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with legal requirements and company procedures.
\n
• Collect, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials.
\n
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
\n
• Tip vehicles at approved recycling and waste facilities.
\n
• Accurately complete paperwork and electronic records using handheld devices.
\n
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
\n
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with colleagues, customers and the public.
\n
• Work flexibly across different operational locations when required.
\n
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
\n

This is a hands-on outdoor role involving regular lifting, moving bins and recycling containers, and working in all weather conditions. It's ideal for drivers who enjoy staying active and being part of a supportive team.\n
Requirements
\n

\n
• ValidClass 2 (Category C) licence
\n
• Driver CPCandDigital Tachograph Card
\n
• Good understanding of HGV driving regulations, Working Time Directive and tachograph rules
\n
• Experience completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
\n
• Comfortable using mobile devices and completing electronic paperwork
\n
• Reliable, safety-conscious and a strong team player
\n
• Previous waste, recycling or commercial collections experience is desirable but not essential
\n
