\nOur client, a well established precision engineering company, is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their growing manufacturing team on a permanent day shift.\n

TheCNC Turner RoleAs a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision-engineered components to exact customer specifications. Working from engineering drawings, you will produce high-quality parts to tight tolerances while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and efficiency.\n
\nThis is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with precision components in a modern machining environment.\n
CNC TurnerKey Responsibilities\n

\n
• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
\n
• Manufacturing precision components using a brand-new CMZ CNC Lathe.
\n
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
\n
• Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
\n
• Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods.
\n
• Carrying out in-process inspection to ensure components meet specification.
\n
• Machining a variety of engineering materials.
\n
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area.
\n
• Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
\n

Candidate Requirements\n
\nThe successful candidate will have:\n

\n
• Previous experience as a CNC Turner.
\n
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
\n
• Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
\n
• The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
\n
• Experience machining precision components to demanding tolerances.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
\n
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
\n

Desirable SkillsThe following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:\n

\n
• Manufacturing components for the Oil & Gas industry.
\n
• Offline programming.
\n
• Experience with live tooling.
\n
• Machining a range of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, alloys and other specialist materials.
\n

Working HoursMonday to Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pmFriday: 8:00am 1:00pm\n
