Job Description
Location: Peterborough
\nOur client is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter / Panel Wirer to join their expanding engineering team based in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the build and assembly of bespoke machinery and automated systems within a modern manufacturing environment.
\nWe're looking for someone with a strong background in electrical fitting and control panel wiring, who is confident working with PLC systems and interpreting electrical schematics to deliver high-quality builds.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n

Build, wire, and assemble electrical control panels to a high standard.
\n - \n
Install and wire electrical components on bespoke machinery and automation equipment.
\n - \n
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
\n - \n
Carry out panel wiring, machine wiring, and electrical assembly work.
\n - \n
Assist with PLC wiring, fault finding, and support during machine testing and commissioning.
\n - \n
Perform electrical inspections and testing where required.
\n - \n
Ensure all work complies with current electrical standards and health & safety regulations.
\n - \n
Work collaboratively with mechanical fitters and the wider engineering team to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Previous experience as an Electrical Fitter, Panel Wirer, Control Panel Builder, or Electrical Technician.
\n - \n
Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery and associated wiring.
\n - \n
Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
\n - \n
Strong electrical assembly, panel wiring, and machine wiring experience.
\n - \n
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
\n - \n
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
\n - \n
A recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is desirable.
