Project Manager - HMP Establishments North West

Your new company A leading national infrastructure and facilities management contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to join their Projects team, delivering refurbishment, maintenance and improvement works across multiple HMP establishments throughout the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of secure environment projects for a well-established organisation with a strong pipeline of work. Your new role As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction and refurbishment projects within operational prison environments. You will manage programmes from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Key duties will include: Managing multiple live projects across various HMP sites Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site management teams Ensuring compliance with health & safety and prison security procedures Managing project budgets, programmes and reporting requirements Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders Conducting regular site visits across the North West region Overseeing project delivery, quality assurance and handover processes What you'll need to succeed Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry Experience delivering refurbishment, M&E or building projects Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills Excellent programme and commercial awareness SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications Full UK driving licence Previous experience working within secure environments, public sector projects or custodial settings would be advantageous Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances What you'll get in return Competitive daily rate Long-term freelance opportunity Weekly pay via PAYE Mileage/business travel expenses where applicable Opportunity to work with a major national contractor Diverse project portfolio across the North West Immediate start available What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
