Criminology Lecturer (Part-Time Maternity Cover)

Reed Further Education are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Criminology Lecturer to join a successful post-16 provision on a part-time maternity cover basis, based in Nuneaton on a temporary/fixed term contract

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer or teacher with a passion for Criminology to inspire learners and support their academic success. The successful candidate will primarily deliver the WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Criminology, alongside some teaching on Level 2 programmes. The timetable is currently to be confirmed.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons on the WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Criminology
\n
• Teach and support learners on Level 2 programmes as required
\n
• Plan, prepare and assess learning activities in line with awarding body requirements
\n
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
\n
• Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance processes
\n
• Support learners to achieve positive outcomes and progression goals
\n

Requirements

\n
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Criminology, Law, Sociology or a related subject
\n
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent
\n
• Experience teaching Criminology within Further Education, Sixth Form or Secondary Education
\n
• Knowledge of the WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Criminology is highly desirable
\n
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
\n
