Biology Lecturer (Full-Time Maternity Cover)

Reed Further Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Biology Lecturer to join a well-established education provider on a full-time maternity cover basis in Nuneaton

This is an exciting opportunity for a Biology specialist with a strong Medical Science or Biomedical Science background to deliver high-quality teaching and inspire learners to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will join from September for a maternity cover expected to last between 12 and 18 months. Salary: £33,500 - £51,500 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

• Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons to post-16 learners
\n
• Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements
\n
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
\n
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes
\n
• Support learners to achieve positive outcomes and progression goals
\n
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the learner experience
\n

The Ideal Candidate

\n
• Holds a degree in Biology, Medical Science, Biomedical Science or a related discipline
\n
• Possesses a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent)
\n
• Has experience teaching Biology within Further Education, Sixth Form or Secondary Education
\n
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge, particularly within Medical Science
\n
• Has excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills
\n
• Is committed to delivering an outstanding learning experience
\n
