\nAre you an experienced Export Coordinator looking to join a successful international freight forwarding business?
\nOur client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Export Coordinator to join their Aberdeen operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong export forwarding background to manage shipments from quotation through to final delivery while building long-term relationships with customers and overseas partners.
The Role\nAs an Export Coordinator, you'll play a key role in managing international export shipments across air, sea and road freight. You'll be responsible for coordinating end-to-end shipments, processing customs documentation, preparing quotations and ensuring customers receive an exceptional level of service throughout the export process.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Coordinate export shipments from quotation through to final delivery. \n
- Prepare competitive quotations for customers and overseas offices. \n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers and overseas agents. \n
- Support the onboarding of new clients and ensure a smooth transition into the business. \n
- Book shipments with airlines, shipping lines and road transport providers. \n
- Prepare and process export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, Bills of Lading, CMRs and Standard Shipping Notes. \n
- Complete customs declarations using CDS/ASM Sequoia while ensuring full HMRC compliance. \n
- Ensure destination-specific documentation requirements are met. \n
- Provide advice and support to customers on export procedures, customs and shipping requirements. \n
- Resolve operational issues with customers, suppliers and carriers in a professional and timely manner. \n
- Ensure Dangerous Goods shipments are handled in accordance with current regulations. \n
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer expectations and operational KPIs are achieved. \n
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HMRC regulations, customs procedures, trade sanctions and Incoterms. \n
To be successful in this role, you'll have:

- Previous experience within freight forwarding or international logistics, with a strong focus on exports. \n
- Excellent knowledge of export procedures, customs regulations and international shipping documentation. \n
- Experience processing customs declarations using CDS and/or ASM Sequoia. \n
- Strong understanding of air, sea and road freight operations. \n
- Experience handling Dangerous Goods shipments. \n
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills. \n
- Strong commercial awareness with experience preparing quotations. \n
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload. \n
- High attention to detail and strong administrative accuracy. \n
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. \n
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively within a team. \n
