Location: County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester (Hybrid Working) Contract: 6-Month Temporary Contract Hours: Full Time Start Date: Immediate Start Preferred

Join a busy Local Authority team supporting essential Home to School Transport services

\n

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator to join a dedicated Home to School Transport team based at County Hall, Glenfield. This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will play a key part in ensuring transport services are delivered efficiently and effectively for children and young people across the county.

\n

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with attendance in the office every Monday and additional Tuesdays as required by the service.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Process Home to School Transport requests accurately and efficiently
  • \n
  • Maintain and update records, databases and management information systems
  • \n
  • Manage high volumes of administration and data entry
  • \n
  • Liaise with transport operators, internal departments and external stakeholders
  • \n
  • Attend face-to-face meetings with transport providers and complete DBC compliance checklists
  • \n
  • Coordinate training requirements for transport crews, including arranging training dates and maintaining training records
  • \n
  • Monitor compliance and ensure all relevant information is accurately recorded
  • \n
  • Produce reports and management information as required
  • \n
  • Support the day-to-day operational delivery of Home to School Transport services
  • \n
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales
  • \n

About You

We are looking for an organised and adaptable administrator who can manage a busy workload and quickly become a productive member of the team.

You will have:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • \n
  • Experience of managing large volumes of data and maintaining accurate records
  • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • \n
  • Strong IT skills, including experience using databases and Microsoft Office applications
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • \n
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • \n
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
  • \n
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • \n
