Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring the warehouse runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. This role requires a proactive and organised individual with strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills who can oversee warehouse operations while driving continuous improvement.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Branch Manager on all day-to-day warehouse operations.
\n
• Manage the daily operation of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient use of labour, equipment, and storage space.
\n
• Oversee the administration of all warehouse operational paperwork, ensuring accurate filing and compliance with company procedures.
\n
• Act as the primary liaison between the business, customers, clients, and alternative storage facilities.
\n
• Ensure all operational matters are completed within agreed timeframes.
\n
• Produce and distribute operational reports to relevant stakeholders.
\n
• Provide accurate and timely operational information to support warehouse functions.
\n
• Carry out forklift truck operations and general warehouse duties where required.
\n
• Complete a range of administrative duties to support warehouse operations.
\n
• Use the Moveware system to process bookings and container movements.
\n
• Accurately record and monitor crate usage to support timely invoicing.
\n
• Drive cost-effective warehouse operations by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
\n
• Maximise warehouse capacity and optimise storage utilisation.
\n
• Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained, safe, and available for use.
\n
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company standards at all times.
\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n
• Previous supervisory or management experience within a large warehouse or storage environment.
\n
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
\n
• Customer-focused with the ability to understand and respond to customer requirements.
\n
• Proactive, reliable, resilient, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
\n
• Licensed Forklift Truck Operator (Reach and Counterbalance preferred).
\n
• Experience using warehouse management systems, including Moveware, is desirable.
\n
• Full clean UK driving licence.
\n
