Procurement Manager

6-Month Contract | Via Umbrella | Hybrid UK

We're partnering with a large, complex organisation seeking an experienced Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement Manager to join their team on an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on procurement professional who thrives on delivery and execution rather than procurement transformation or strategy leadership. You'll manage multiple procurement projects across a broad range of spend categories, driving commercial outcomes and supporting stakeholders across the business.

This is a flexible hybrid opportunity. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel to office locations and stakeholder meetings as required. Primary office hubs are currently located in the South East, with additional regional office locations available across the UK.

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities across a variety of direct and indirect spend categories.
\n
• Manage sourcing projects including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and competitive tender exercises.
\n
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract award activities.
\n
• Develop and implement sourcing approaches aligned with business requirements and existing procurement strategies.
\n
• Build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
\n
• Deliver commercial value through cost optimisation, supplier improvements and risk reduction initiatives.
\n
• Manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
\n

We're interested in speaking with procurement professionals who can demonstrate:

• Strong end-to-end procurement delivery experience.
\n
• Hands-on experience leading sourcing, tendering, negotiation and contract management activities.
\n
• Procurement experience across both direct and indirect spend.
\n
• Broad category exposure rather than a highly specialised category background.
\n
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
\n
• Evidence of delivering measurable commercial outcomes, savings, supplier optimisation or risk reduction.
\n
• The ability to quickly establish credibility and add value in a complex environment.
\n

• Experience in large and complex organisations.
\n
• Public and private sector procurement exposure.
\n
• Previous interim or contract assignments.
\n
• Experience spanning multiple spend categories such as professional services, facilities, technology, HR, marketing, construction, infrastructure, engineering services or operational procurement.
