Chartered Building Surveyor

Are you a Chartered Building Surveyor looking to join an ambitious and growing consultancy?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established consultancy with a strong reputation in the built environment sector. The business is looking for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS essential) to join the team and support a varied portfolio of projects across London and the South East.

The role would ideally suit someone based south of London, as projects will involve travel across South and East London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. The successful candidate can be based from either the South East London or Central London office, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement of 23 days in the office and 23 days working from home, depending on business needs. There may be a requirement to spend additional time in the office during the initial stages to support your integration into the team.

The Role

You will be working across a diverse range of projects, predominantly within the residential sector, alongside work across education, healthcare and commercial sectors. The project portfolio includes both new build developments and refurbishment schemes, offering excellent variety and the opportunity to further develop your technical and professional skills.

Your role will include a mixture of:

• Contract Administration

• Employers Agent services
\n
• Project Management
\n
• Defects diagnosis and management
\n
• Specifications and technical reporting
\n
• Disrepair work
\n
• Client advisory services
\n
• Supporting wider Professional Services delivery
\n

The business has clear ambitions to continue growing its Professional Services team. For candidates with a background in this area and an interest in developing this side of the business, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and become more involved in shaping the future growth of the service line.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• MRICS qualification (essential)
\n
• Experience working within a consultancy environment as a Building Surveyor
\n
• A strong background delivering Building Surveying services across sectors such as residential, education, healthcare or commercial
\n
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering projects independently
\n
• A desire to progress your career within a supportive and ambitious organisation
\n
