365 People are recruiting for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to join one of our well established clients in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who enjoys a varied role delivering steel products, fabrication materials, plant, and machinery while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in line with DVSA regulations and company policies.
\n
• Deliver and collect steel products, fabrication materials, plant, and machinery to customer sites.
\n
• Ensure all loads are secured safely using chains, straps, and approved load restraint systems.
\n
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and complete all required paperwork accurately.
\n
• Work closely with transport planners, site managers, and customers to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
\n
• Assist within the yard or warehouse when required.
\n
• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n

\n
• A full UK Class 2 driving licence.
\n
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
\n
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
\n
• Previous experience transporting steel, heavy materials, plant, or construction equipment.
\n
• A good understanding of load security, drivers' hours regulations, and transport legislation.
\n
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\n
• A flexible, dependable attitude with the ability to work as part of a team.
\n

Working Hours\n

\n
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am5:00pm.
\n
• Early starts will be required to meet customer delivery schedules, so flexibility is essential.
\n
