Pay: £20.00 per hour

Job Description:

£1,000 Sign-On Bonus

£500 payable upon completion of 30 days continuous employment and a further £500 payable upon completion of 60 days continuous employment. Terms and conditions apply.

Pay rate: £20.00 per hour
\n Monday to Friday: 9 hours guaranteed
\n Weekend shifts: 12 hours guaranteed
\n Breaks: No break deduction over the weekend

START TIMES CAN BE ANYWHERE BETWEEN 13:00-18:00

Were recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a well-established retail logistics operation based in Doncaster (DN2). Multiple vacancies available on a temp-to-perm basis.

Youll be working with a modern and flexible fleet (up to 44T artics), supporting the delivery of shop fitting equipment such as units and refrigerated shelving, including multi-drop and out-of-hours deliveries.

• Nights: £20.00/hr

• Sunday: £20.00/hr
\n
• Weekend breaks are paid (not deducted).
\n
• Monday to Friday: 9 hours guaranteed
\n
• Weekend shifts:

• 12 hours guaranteed over weekend
\n

Shift pattern

• Sunday to Thursday
\n
• Nights available
\n
• Some runs may include nights out/tramping depending on route requirements.
\n
• If night out , you will need to start as early as 13:00
\n

The role (key duties)

\n
• Drive and operate HGV vehicles safely and professionally to complete deliveries nationwide
\n
• Carry out pre-use and post-use vehicle checks and keep the vehicle roadworthy
\n
• Ensure loads are secure and complete deliveries safely and on time
\n
• Complete paperwork / PODs accurately
\n
• Communicate effectively with transport, site teams and delivery points
\n
• Adhere to all tachograph rules and Working Time Directive requirements
\n
• Loading/unloading will be required (Moffett/vehicle-mounted forklift experience is beneficial , if not , training can be provided )
\n

Requirements

\n
• Valid Category Class 1 licence
\n
• Minimum of 1 year of class 1 experience
\n
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Valid Driver CPC
\n
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, IN endorsements)
\n
• Professional and polite manner at all times
\n
