Job Description
CharteredSurveyorResponsibleforplanningandimplementingtheefficientmanagementoftheCouncilspropertyportfolio,i.e.lettings,rentreviews,leaserenewals,assignments,forfeitureetc.toensurethatincomesaremaximisedandbusinessobjectivesdelivered.
\nCharteredSurveyorOverseethemanagementoftheoperationsoftheCouncilscorporateportfolio,suchasindustrialestates/businessparks,markets,CountyFarms,grazing,harbours,retailincludingRiversideshoppingcentreetc.
\n,ensuringtheportfolioisfitforpurposeandmeetsservicedeliveryneeds,seekingtoreducerevenueexpenditurewherefeasible.
\nCharteredSurveyorTogetherwiththeseniorPropertyleadershipteamFosteramodelofabusinesspartneringapproachtopropertymanagementwithinternaldepartmentswithintheauthority.
\nWorkingalongsidetheHeadofProperty,EconomicDevelopment&RegenerationtoensureassetvaluationsarecarriedoutinaccordancewithCIPFAguidance.
\nContributetotheimplementationofbusinessimprovementsandidentificationoffurtheropportunitiestoimprovetheefficiencyoftheservice.
\nThereisfullandongoingresponsibilityforthesupervisionofthePropertyAssetManagers(surveyors).
\nThisincludestherecruitmentandselectionofstaff,allocatinganddirectingwork,performancemanagement,identifyingtrainingneedsandrespondingtoanymattersrelatingtosicknessabsenceorconduct.
