Senior Quantity Surveyor

We're supporting our client in the search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major Battery Energy Storage System.

This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for a commercially astute QS to take ownership of a project.

The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing commercial control back to the project, with a particular focus on managing and resolving Compensation Events (CEs) under an NEC contract.

The Role

• Lead the management, assessment and resolution of Compensation Events.
\n
• Build and present robust commercial arguments to both the main contractor and the client.
\n
• Provide clear commercial direction and help drive the project towards a successful outcome.
\n
• Work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of key commercial issues.
\n
• Collaborate with project stakeholders while maintaining a firm and professional commercial position.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure, energy or civil engineering projects.
\n
• Strong working knowledge and practical experience administering NEC contracts, particularly Compensation Events.
\n
• A confident communicator with the ability to negotiate and influence both client and contractor teams.
\n
• Self-sufficient, proactive and capable of stepping into a live project with immediate impact.
\n
• Experience on energy or BESS projects would be advantageous but is not essential.
\n

Location & Working Pattern

\n
• Full-time perm position.
\n
• 3 days per week on site, with the remaining time working flexibly.
\n
