Deputy Manager Residential
Job Description
We are looking for a Deputy Managerto join our Ofsted rated GOOD in all areas 4 bed Childrens Home supporting 8-18 year olds with EBD and challenging behaviours.
\nThe team including Registered Manager, Responsible Individual and Directors will be there with full support and encourage training qualifications and progression.
\nRequirements
\nWork with the young person and team to develop strategies to reduce behaviours/work with unlined factors and stimuli/triggers.
\nDevelop therapeutic response for the team to follow.
\nWill not be fazed by challenging and complexbehaviours
\nKnowledge of CHR 2015 and the QS
\nAwareness of Equal Opportunities/ADP issues
\nKnowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation
\nTeam-building skills
\nSupervision skill
\nAbility to manage teams effectively.
\nAbility to communicate both verbally and in writing.
\nUnderstanding the needs of looked-after children including managing challenging behaviour
\nExcellent organisational skills 12 months relevant supervisory experience
\n24 months experience of working in a residential setting with and managing challenging behaviour.

\nQuality and compliance:maintains strong recording, medication oversight (where applicable), audits/checks, and readiness for regulation/inspections.
\nCommunication and professional curiosity:works effectively with social workers, schools, health and other partners; asks the right questions and challenges respectfully.
\nShift coordination:manages rotas/cover, handovers and daily priorities to keep the home running smoothly.
\nReflective practice:learns from incidents, welcomes feedback, and helps embed improvement across the home.
\nDeputy Manager qualifications: Diploma L3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent), willingness to complete Diploma L5 L&M in H&S
\nSalary
\n£38k Per annum plus occasional sleeps
